How a telecom operator or content provider deploys a CDN: edge caches in cities, regional mid-tier caches and the origin.
Deployment diagrams are part of Pro. Anyone can view this one; generating and editing it needs Pro.
Drawing diagram…
Deployment for a CDN inside an operator network: users in each city are routed by DNS/anycast to the nearest edge cache cluster in city points of presence, cache misses go to regional mid-tier caches, and misses there go to the origin servers in the content provider's cloud. A control plane pushes configuration and pre-positions popular content before big events like cricket matches; logs go to analytics.
