What happens when a customer recharges a prepaid mobile: plan selection, payment, balance update in the charging system and confirmation.
Drawing diagram…
Prepaid recharge sequence: the customer picks a plan in the operator's app, pays via UPI through the payment gateway, the recharge service receives payment confirmation, calls the online charging system to apply the plan (data, validity, calls), the OCS confirms, and the customer gets an SMS with the new balance and validity. If the OCS fails, the recharge is retried and then refunded.
