Mobile number portability sequence: the subscriber sends PORT to 1900 and receives a unique porting code, visits the new (recipient) operator with the code and ID, the recipient submits a port request to the number portability clearing house, which asks the donor operator to validate (no dues, code valid); the donor approves, the clearing house schedules the cutover at night, updates routing databases, the donor deactivates and the recipient activates the new SIM.
