Where monitoring runs for a renewable energy portfolio: inverters and turbines at each plant, a plant controller, and the central monitoring cloud.

Deployment for renewable plant monitoring: at a solar plant, inverters, string monitors and a weather station connect by Modbus to a plant SCADA and power plant controller; at a wind farm, turbine controllers connect to a wind farm SCADA. Each plant has an edge data logger sending data over 4G/fibre to the central cloud, which runs a data platform, performance analytics (PR, availability), a generation forecasting service and a portfolio dashboard, and shares schedules with the grid operator.
