How pilgrims register for a regulated yatra: online registration with a health certificate, slot allocation, RFID card issue and tracking at checkpoints.
Drawing diagramβ¦
Yatra registration sequence: a pilgrim registers online with ID, photo and a compulsory health certificate from an authorised doctor. The system allots a date and route within the daily limit and takes the fee. At the base camp the pilgrim collects an RFID card after verification. Checkpoints along the route read the RFID card so authorities know who has passed, and a return is recorded at the end.
