Fee payment sequence: the student opens the fee page, the fee service shows the semester invoice with tuition, exam and hostel fees minus scholarship, the student pays through the payment gateway (UPI, card, net banking), the gateway sends a signed webhook to the fee service, which marks the invoice paid, generates a receipt PDF and emails it; the finance team reconciles settlements with the bank statement daily.
