🏗️ Construction · Flowchart
How a building project moves through the local authority: plan approval, stage inspections during construction, and the occupancy certificate.
Drawing diagram…
Flowchart for building permits and inspections: the owner's architect submits the building plan to the municipal authority, which scrutinises it against building bye-laws. Approved plans get a building permit, construction starts, and inspections happen at plinth level, at each slab and at completion. A failed inspection requires rectification and re-inspection. After the final inspection the authority issues the occupancy certificate, and utility connections can be applied for.
