How a contract or legal document is reviewed inside a company: intake, playbook check, risk rating, approvals and signature.
Drawing diagram…
Document review flowchart: the business submits a document through the legal intake form. If it's the company's standard template with no changes it goes straight to signature. Otherwise a lawyer compares it with the negotiation playbook, flags deviations (liability cap, indemnity, payment terms) and rates risk. Low risk is approved by the lawyer, medium by the legal head, high by the general counsel and CFO. Rejected points go back to the counterparty; approved documents go for e-signature and are stored in the contract repository.
