How an operator sends a command to a satellite: planning, authorisation, uplink during a pass and telemetry confirmation.
Drawing diagramβ¦
Satellite commanding sequence: the operator prepares a command plan in the mission control system, which validates it against power and thermal constraints. A second operator authorises it. When the satellite passes over the ground station, commands are encrypted and uplinked; the satellite acknowledges receipt, executes the command and downlinks telemetry that confirms the new state.
