π Aerospace & Space Β· Flowchart
How an aircraft is built from a global supply chain: tier suppliers, major assemblies, final assembly, testing and delivery.
Drawing diagramβ¦
Aircraft manufacturing flowchart: raw material suppliers (aluminium, titanium, composites) and tier-2/3 part makers supply tier-1 suppliers who build major assemblies (wings, fuselage sections, engines, landing gear, avionics). Assemblies arrive at the final assembly line, with first-article inspection and traceability records. The aircraft is joined, systems installed, painted, ground tested and flight tested, then the certificate of airworthiness is issued and it is delivered to the airline.
